Why BillScope exists

Household bills are quietly one of the hardest things to compare in Australia. The numbers on an electricity bill are technically all there, but working out whether you're paying a fair price takes time most people don't have.

BillScope is a simple attempt to fix that. You enter what's on your bill, we compare it against benchmark information, and we tell you plainly whether it looks like you may be paying more than necessary.

If there does appear to be an opportunity, you can ask us to investigate the options for you. If there isn't, we'll tell you that too — a result showing your bill looks competitive is a useful answer.

We're careful about what we claim. BillScope produces estimates, not guarantees, and we don't have partnerships with energy or internet providers. Where we use benchmark data that hasn't been verified yet, we say so on the result.
