Simple to use, careful with the numbers
BillScope is designed for normal households, not energy experts.
Step 1
Enter your bill
Choose the bill you want to check and enter the details shown on it — things like your billing period, the amount and your usage. We tell you where to find each figure.
Step 2
We analyse it
Your figures are annualised and compared with benchmark information for your bill type and region. The calculation methodology is versioned, so every result can be traced back to the rules and benchmarks used at the time.
Step 3
See your estimate
You'll get one of three outcomes: a potential saving, a result that looks competitive, or a note explaining what extra information we need. Everything is an estimate based on what you told us.
Step 4
Optional: we investigate
If a potential saving is identified you can ask BillScope to look into the options available to you. That's the only point at which we ask for contact details.
Step 5
Proceed and get your recommendation
BillScope charges 25% of the estimated first-year saving identified through your comparison. The fee is payable when you choose to proceed with the BillScope recommendation. Once payment is made, we provide the full recommendation and information you need to make the switch yourself. BillScope does not complete the provider switch for you. Once you have your recommendation, you complete your signup directly with the provider.

We'd rather be cautious than overstate what's possible.
